We are very pleased to announce Kennet Jansson as our new Black Steam guitarist. Kennet is replacing Carl Lidberg who left the band two months ago due to his own projects.
Kennet, who we have picked from our beautiful neighboring city Norrköping, is a guitarist/singer and also a true metalhead with many years of experience from metal and hard rock bands such as e.g. Seven, Last Temptation and Fireballs to name a few. Kennet is currently playing in a Norrköping-based band called ”Lasse Boqvist & 1712s” as well as the Def Leppard tribute band ”Hysteria”.
Kennet will be a positive injection to Black Steam and his style of play suits us perfectly. We are excited to start working with Kennet and see what he will bring to the band. The typical Black Steam sound based on classic heavy metal will of course remain, but we are constantly working on developing the sound and believe that Kennet will contribute a lot of new things.
Kennet is now jumping right into an ongoing recording process for an upcoming album, but we hope to release some new stuff in the not too distant future.
In addition, we can reveal that we will soon be back on the stages to play live again.
